February 2015, 107 Meridian FM will hosting a new business show, run by the young staff members from Sussex-based firm elephant communications.
The drive time show, which will launch next month will feature current affairs and topical business discussion on some of the hot issues of the week. Every week a major UK or international brand will join the show to discuss a topical issue. The weekly show will close with a one-hour interview with a local small business owner. This slot will give a real voice to local success stories and the sharing of tips and experiences may well inspire the next new business in the region.
The show will also feature a personal finance slot with former money editor from a national newspaper. Plus there will be room every week for some special music, phone-ins and competitions.
Peter Monnery, Managing Director at Meridian 107 comments: “A weekly business show adds something new and fresh to our fast evolving schedule. Our catchment serves a significant business community and we are keen to offer a drive time show for the business community that has a very special character – serious topics tackled in an engaging, sometimes fun, way and with the chance for all our listeners to discover what makes successful businesses tick.”
Guy Bellamy, Managing Director at elephant added: “The show is a very natural extension of the work we do. As a national firm, we run a free advice day for local small businesses every month, our way of putting something back into the community. Giving small business start ups a platform on radio is exciting and combining this with the contributions from major organisations will give 107 Meridian a show that will deliver something special for drive time.”
